Nordic Colonialism in 2026 brings together researchers and
stakeholders connected to the Sámi Truth Commissions
across the Nordic region. Including a seminar on the
consequences of Swedish interventions in Sámi life, and a
roundtable dedicated to examining the Truth Commissions
and their outcomes in Sweden, Norway and Finland, the
event will examine pressing issues related to contemporary
Nordic colonialism, as well as their historical legacies.
