The work of the Truth Commission for the Sami People is now under way. The Commission will survey and examine the policies pursued towards the Sami from a historical perspective, and their consequences for the Sami people. .
Your story is meaningful. Currently, testimonies by Sami about the central government and other actors’ abuses and violations towards the Sami people are scarce.
The idea is for the meetings to be informal and promote conversation where participants have the possibility for reflection and dialogue about the Commission’s inquiry.
